Havana.- The performance of ballet dancers from Russia, Germany, Japan, US and Canadian companies, scheduled for August 20th, draw the attention to those fond of ballet in Cuba. Dancers as Ivan Vasiliev, Iana Salenko, Mathew Golding, Joseph Gatti, Daniil Simkin, Jurgita Dronina, Misa Kuranaga, Maria Kochetkova and Semyion Chudin will perform at the International Gala Ballet Royalty, to be held at the Gran Teatro de La Habana Alicia Alonso.
Young dancers from groups like American Ballet Theater, Boston Ballet and San Francisco Ballet in the United States, the Bolshoi Ballet, Kirov and Mijailovsky in Russia, the Royal Ballet and the English National Ballet in the United Kingdom, the Sttatesballet Berlin and the Scala of Milano in Italy, will shake the great theater, of eclectic style, built in 1838.
This performance by the Ballet Royalty of the United States in Havana is jointly organized by the National Council of Performing Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Improvedance from Cincinnati, United States.
